Wilhelmine Schroeder-Devrient, 1804 Hamburg - 1860 Coburg, opera singer, in the role of Donna Anna from the opera "Don Giovanni" by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Finely painted in color after the painting by Adolf Henning (1809 Berlin - 1900 Berlin). Unglazed base, pressed marks with Prussian eagle of KGM, Königliche Gesundheitsgeschirr Manufaktur der KPM Berlin, gilt stucco frame. Small paint chips to the rim.
On 07.04.2019 in the program "Lieb und Teuer" of the NDR, the art historian Wilhelm Hornbostel discussed a lacquer painting by the Brunswick manufactory Stockmann in Reinbeck Castle, which was painted around 1840 after the lost portrait of the opera singer by Adolf Henning * Partner auction Bergmann.
