23 x 31 cm. Framed & behind glass : 35 x 42 cm (gold border).
White and pink carnations in bright light. On the reverse is the dedication "Presented with very best wishes for the Leipzig 800th anniversary fair. Ottmar and Maria Gerster". The 800th anniversary celebrations took place in 1965. Ottmar Gerster is a well-known composer and was a professor at the Leipzig Academy of Music.
Painter and professor in Heidelberg and Weimar, trained as a porcelain and glass painter, studied at the Dresden School of Arts and Crafts, worked in Weimar from 1922.
