Gerd Krauss was a German stage designer, film architect and painter who studied at the Hochschule für Gestaltung in Offenbach and worked on the Frankfurt am Main municipal stages from a young age. His designs and works can be found in more than a thousand cinema and television films as well as renowned opera houses and theaters worldwide. He is a winner of the Prix Italia, the Silver Rose of Montreux, the Telestar and the German Television Award 1989.
