Baroque faience jug with peasant woman.
Late 18th century
White glazed, polychrome painted. H 25 cm.
Cylindrical body with a ribbon handle decorated with strokes, on the front a peasant woman with a bundle of ears and sickle, flanked by pointed trees. Pewter lid with ball pusher, engraved and dated "A.C.G. 1793", hallmarked inside, pewter stand. Partial small defects and repairs to the pewter, pewter stand loose.
Provenance : From a private collection in Saxony.
