Colorless glass. H 9x approx. 13.5 cm, 1x 16 cm.
Mouth-blown glasses made of colorless glass. Hemispherical bowl with a band of beads, smooth stem and round base. Mouth rims partially ground, probably due to the manufacturing process.
German art glassblower, glass designer and glass artist; member of the Association of Visual Artists of the GDR, freelance artist in Lauscha. Since 1977 participation in numerous national and international exhibitions. Artistic director of the International Glass Symposia in Lauscha in 1986 and 1989; "Hubert Koch was the only one of the many lampwork glassblowers in the Thuringian Forest who followed Albin Schaedel (1904 - 1999) from the design of animal figures into vessels to really break away from his model and develop a highly independent formal language, even in international comparison. His delicate glassware, in which he often juxtaposes undecorated surfaces and echoes of natural forms, has won numerous awards."
