40 x 31 cm. Framed : 55 x 46 cm (gold stucco frame).
Young woman with the animals at the edge of a forest near a body of water. Scratched.
If Anton Braith, then: German painter, pupil of the genre painter Johann Bapt. Pflug in Biberach. 1851 at the art school in Stuttgart. Braith moved to Munich permanently in 1860. Here initially strongly influenced by Piloty, but limited to animal and landscape motifs. He traveled to Venice, Paris (influenced by Troyon), London, Rome, Naples, Sicily, northern Germany, Switzerland, but especially Bolzano, where he founded the Batzenhäusl gallery with his friend Christian Mali in 1889.
