2 small plates from the Ca-Mau shipwreck.
Yongzhen period around 1725. China.
Ø 10 and 12 cm.
Also known as Batavia porcelain. Both in underglaze blue painting. Small landscape with single figure in the mirror, brown glazed underside / Bird and insects among flowers, slightly ribbed rim.
The pieces come from the Ca-Mau shipwreck, which was salvaged off Vietnam in 1998. Parts of the cargo were auctioned via Sotheby's Amsterdam in 2007, see label.
