Baroque Muskau pear jug.
2nd half of the 18th century
Brown, salt-glazed stoneware, partly engobed in black-brown, notched, incised and molded decoration with impressed quartz chips. H 24 cm.
Ovoid body with slightly fluted strap handle, neck with belt grooves, center of wall with notched decoration, applied rosettes and lines as well as quartz stones, high vertically notched drain. Pewter lid with ball pusher, monogrammed "K.S.". Two fine cracks in the mouth area, rim and stand slightly chipped.
