Painter, graphic artist and textile designer, was a trained decorative painter, studied at the Munich School of Arts and Crafts at the same time and was part of the Darmstadt artists' colony Mathildenhöhe. He also taught letterpress printing and lithography at the Magdeburg School of Arts and Crafts.
