Medal with the Liberation Monument. Königliche Eisengießerei Berlin(?).
19th century, possibly recast?
Blackened cast iron. Ø 9.5 cm.
Round medal in relief on both sides. Obverse the monumental memorial on the Kreuzberg with city silhouette; surrounding legend with place names of battles in the War of Liberation. Reverse central inscription "Der König dem Volke..." (The King to the People...) as well as surrounding legend to the monument erected in 1820 and consecrated in 1821.
