Large Muskau pear jug with floral decoration.

Brown, salt-glazed stoneware, engobed in black-brown, notched and incised decoration. H 28.5 cm.
Slim-bellied shape with cylindrical neck and ribbon handle. Wall with vertical network, incised and cross-worked flowers and scrolled foliage, diagonally hatched drain. Pewter lid with angel's head finial, pewter hoop, handle with pewter band, pewter stand ring, punched inside. Mouth with fine crack, pewter with signs of use.
