Combined gold penholder/pencil holder in a case.
Matching case by "Trevor Philip & Sons London". Probably early 19th century
18 ct yellow gold tested. Case with gold embossing on blue leather, inside partly velvet. L writing utensil 22.5 cm. Total weight of writing utensil 35 g.
Fastened writing utensil with continuous bead and throat twist. Nib holder with screw cap over the unmarked nib and plug-in cap at the back with removable utensil. Sliding pencil holder attached to the nib holder. Cap pencil holder missing, otherwise hardly any signs of age/use.
