25 x 31 cm. Framed : 49 x 56 cm (black lacquer frame).
Probably a preliminary study for the larger painting "Am Dom zu Erfurt" from 1848, which can be seen today in the Landesmuseum Hannover.
Wenn I.A. Vermeersch, then: Belgian architectural painter (1810 Maldegem near Ghent - 1852 Munich), studied under Pieter-Frans de Noter at the Royal School of Drawing in Ghent, temporarily based in Munich, but otherwise often on study trips.
