Predominantly in shades of blue and green, which give the landscape the character of freshness and pulsating life, executed in loose, impasto brushstrokes. Gray profile frame. A central patch on the reverse.
Frank: painter and graphic artist, studied and completed his doctorate in art history in Erlangen. From 1921 at the art academy in Stuttgart, pupil of Arnold Waldschmidt and Robert Breyer. Traveled to Yugoslavia, Greece and Italy. Frank belongs to the so-called "Lost Generation" * Partner auction Bergmann.
