Lohse: portrait and landscape painter, draughtsman, studied at the academy in Weimar. Pupil of Albin Egger-Lienz and Fritz Mackensen. Worked freelance in Hamburg from 1921 and in Bischofswerda from 1929. The Dresden Gemäldegalerie Neue Meister permanently exhibits several works by the artist. In 2005, the Bautzen Museum purchased thirty-two of his works for 270,000 euros * Bergmann partner auction.
