Baroque sideboard with hunting motifs.
Around 1800.
Oak, solid and dark stained. Approx. 206 x 101 x 65 cm.
2-piece. 2-door top unit with curved pediment. 3-door base cabinet with curved front, sloping desk and hinged writing surface, on 4 pressed ball feet. All-over coffered body with rich fillets, inlaid with deer and wild boar as well as ribbon and thread inlays for mock coffering of the drawers. Top inside with 3 shelves, writing compartment inside with open central compartment, each flanked by 4 drawers with wooden knobs. Bronze shell-shaped keyhole fittings and handles, iron locks. Restored, bottom key jammed.
