Fruitwood or walnut, colored copper engravings. 2 x 10 x 6.5 cm (folded).
Pocket sundial with hook clasp on the rectangular case. Alphabetical list on the hinged lid with the northern latitudes for 47 European cities. Can be used as a horizontal and vertical sundial; inside corresponding dials with Roman and Latin hour numerals in an ornamental frame. Guide holes for the shadow cord corresponding to the degrees of latitude (36 - 56). Central recessed compass with colored compass rose.
