Granida, who meets the shepherd Daifilo and his companion Dorilea while hunting, is offered water to drink from a shell by Daifilo. In the 17th century, the story of this pair of lovers, which was taken from the play "Granida" by Pieter C. Hooft, was an inspiration for many painters and poets. Traces of age.
