Large potpourri vase with painting. Rosenthal.
Mark from the Selb art department, around 1920, signed "A. Geigenmüller".
Polychrome painted, gilt. H 57.5 cm. 9.9 kg.
Cylindrical body with two curved acanthus leaf handles, fluted shaft and round foot, on a square base. On the front an oval medallion painted in gold in relief depicting a blacksmith scene, after a painting by Philips Wouwerman (1619-1668). Lid missing, minimal gold wear.
