Height: 5.5 cm, ø 10.5 cm.
Wafer-thin, so-called eggshell porcelain. Colorful painting by Samuel Schellinck "flower and bird decoration", octagonal shape. Green bottom mark with stork, painter's signature and order number 615, year mark in black.
Rozenburg is today one of the most precious ceramic products of Art Nouveau. The manufactory only existed from 1884-1914, from 1899 it was signed with annual marks. Schellinck (Sam), the manufactory's most productive painter. The monogram IS stands for Schellinck Junior, Sam wanted to distinguish himself from his older brother Stephanus * Partner auction Bergmann.
