Baroque silver verge pocket watch with striking mechanism.
18th century
"Simon Mayr Neyburg" signed brass full plate movement with magnificent floral overlays and florally pierced verge bridge with mascaron, profiled movement pillars, verge escapement, chain and fusee, hour and quarter hour strike on bell, keywind. Functional in short time test. White enamel dial with Roman and Arabic numerals, minute ring and brass sun hands.
Marked, silver tested. Clock Ø 4.3 cm, mantle Ø 5.3 cm. Total weight 107 g.
Smooth case with florally engraved rim and high bar as pusher, in a smooth silver watch case. Slight signs of age and wear, defects.
Well Simon Mayr, Neuburg/Heidelberg, around 1690, without key. In a red case.
