Ceremonial sword with scabbard of the Knights of Columbus.
Marked "Lynch & Kelly, Utica NY".
Silver-colored metal, black lacquered grip, chrome-plated iron. L total 90 cm. 0.8 kg.
"KOFC" (Knights of Columbus) sword designed similarly to a "Masonic sword". Pommel with bust of Columbus, straight quillons with guard plate, scabbard guard plate and guard plate each in relief, below with the coat of arms of the Knights of Columbus. Minor signs of age/use.
"Knights of Columbus" is one of the world's largest Roman Catholic lay fraternal organizations, founded in 1882 in the USA and named after Christopher Columbus.
