Masonic sword of the "Knights of Pythias".
"Cincinnati Regalia Co. Cincinnati, O." marked. Circa 1900.
Cast metal, brass with silver-colored coating, iron. L 90 cm. 0.5 kg.
Knight's head as pommel, wooden grip with wire winding, quillons with griffins on the obverse side "FCB" (Friendship, Charity, Benevolence), guard blade with "UV" (Uniformed Rank) in the crown. Marked ridged blade with large etched decorations on both sides, one with the inscription "A. C. Ritterio". Grip stronger, otherwise hardly any signs of age/use.
Without scabbard.
The secret society "Knights of Pythias" was founded in Washington/USA in 1864.
