Carl Claus October 14, 1841 in Landau - December 19, 1914 in Nuremberg. Member of various regiments, 1890-93 colonel and commander of the 1st Bavarian Infantry Regiment 'König'. Very high quality overpainted photographic print of the richly decorated officer. Inscribed "Atelier P. Kirchgeorg Nbg. 09". Probably at the end of his career as lieutenant general of the Bavarian Army / Photo portrait as lieutenant general (photo studio Hans Siemssen, Augsburg) and photo of his wife (16.5 x 10.5 cm), / Honorary gift silver appliqué "Zur 40 Jähr. Commemoration of the glorious campaign 1870/71 ... K. Ritter von Claus Exz. ... dedicated by former members of the K.B. Inf. Regts. 'König' e.V." in casket, 16,5 x 12,5 cm. / Parade sash / Large medal clasp with 7 parts: Military Order of Merit (with missing obverse); Luitpold Medal; Iron Cross of1870 with jubilee oak leaves; Order of the Red Eagle (only ribbon present, destination according to painting); War Memorial Coin for fighters of 1870/71 with the battle clasps Sedan and Paris; missing part with blue and white ribbon: here possibly pendant similar to the memorial medal for the Bavarian relief corps in Greece (inscription slightly different, casting quality poor, colored overlaid on one side); campaign memorial medal 1866; Kaiser Wilhelm I. Commemorative medal 1897 / Small medal clasp with 4 parts: Order of Military Merit with crown and swords; Iron Cross 1914; Luitpold Medal; service award for 24 years / 2 further campaign medals for 1866, one with ribbon / Iron Cross First Class, 1914, in original box and issue box. / Charlottenkreuz am Band, Württemberg 1916 in half casket / memorial medal for the year 1849 for military personnel of the time for loyalty during the revolution / veteran's medal for the campaigns 1790 - 1812 / 3 different tail chains for miniature medals / a Schlaraffenorden (?).

Paul Kirchgeorg had a photo studio in Fürth and Nuremberg / 1870/71 he was probably a captain in the Royal Bavarian 14th Infantry Regiment (according to family sources). / Family estate, possibly also of several people.
