Flat meadow landscape with houses between trees under an overcast sky.
German-Russian painter, studied architecture in Dresden, later a student of Arthur Lewin-Funcke, where he also worked under Lovis Corinth. Later a pupil of Edmund Kesting. Committed himself against the National Socialists and was a political prisoner in Waldheim prison from 1942 to 1945. Worked as a freelance artist after 1945 and also taught at the Academy of Visual Arts in Leipzig.
