Height: 46 cm.
Surrounded by four floating nymphs in Pâte-sur-pâte technique on a light blue ground, gold staffage. Incised mark, pressed mark, sword mark crossed out twice.
* Hentschel, Rudolf: painter and graphic artist, son of Julius, brother of Konrad, studied at the academy in Munich and at the Académie Julian in Paris. 1895-1933 painter and teacher at the Meissen manufactory, he also created several figurative models, later partly freelance. Hentschel, Konrad: modeller, son of Julius, brother of Rudolf, studied at the academies in Munich and Dresden. From 1889 at the Meissen manufactory. One of Meissen's leading Art Nouveau artists, designed various tableware shapes and figures.
