Height: 19 cm.
Painted in color, painted gold. Incised mark, impressed mark, painter's mark, sword mark painted once. Figure of a legend from the 14th century. Accused of infidelity, she was able to flee into the forest of the Ardennes before the planned execution. She and her son, who was born there, were fed by a hind until, years later, her husband found her on a hunt. In the meantime, he had recognized her innocence and brought her back in honour. Partially chipped pedestal.
* König, sculptor, studied at the academy in Dresden, pupil of Ernst Julius Hähnel. Professor at the School of Applied Arts in Vienna from 1868. The Meissen porcelain manufactory acquired three models.
