* Lohse-Wächtler (actually Anna Frieda Wächtler), painter, draughtswoman, graphic artist, applied artist, studied at the Kunstgewerbeschule and Akademie in Dresden. Married the opera singer and painter Kurt Lohse in 1921. From 1922 based in Görlitz, 1925-1930 in Hamburg. A large number of her paintings were destroyed in the Nazi "Degenerate Art" campaign.
