Large Louis Seize-style pendulum.
19th century
Unmarked movement with quarter hour and hour strike on 2 bells, separate repeating train on the inside of the movement, pendulum with thread suspension. Functional in short time test. Domed, glazed, white enamel dial with Roman hours and Arabic minutes, minute ring and interlaced hands.
Softwood, carved and poliment-gilt. Approx. 80 x 49 x 17.5 cm.
Flat architectural case in neoclassical style with applied urn finial, festoons, lateral columns, cones and foliage, pendulum viewing window, on a convex base with 3 disc feet, 2 feet missing. Dial with defects, case with cracks, signs of age and wear, inactive anobia, back panel replaced more recently, attached elements partly loose.
