Playing cards with historical depictions, produced as a gift for the silver wedding anniversary (1883) of Friedrich Wilhelm (1831 - 1888), later Emperor Friedrich III and Victoria (1840 - 1901), the Prussian crown prince and princess. The lapel depicts a cornflower motif repeated four times, alluding to Queen Luise (1776 - 1810), whose favorite flower was the cornflower
. Signs of age-related wear: gilt edges somewhat rubbed, especially at the corners.
On the back is the well-known motif of the cornflower (Queen Louise's favorite flower, also called the "Prussian flower") for the first time.
