Village landscape, which corresponds in its dimensions to the landscape studies which Malchin made on the wood of his cigar boxes and which are considered to be full-fledged paintings (Jürß, Lisa: Carl Malchin. Ein mecklenburgischer Maler. Fischerhude 1995).
If it is the painter Carl Malchin, then the following biographical data apply: Landscape painter (1838 Kröpelin - 1923 Schwerin), pupil of Th. Hagen in Weimar, active in Schwerin.
