Carved figure of a saint
Wood painted in polychrome. Probably early 18th century, without signature. H 83 cm. 6.5 kg.
The carved figure possibly depicts a saint. In contrapposto, the right leg rests loosely and uncovered by the robe on a slightly raised plinth. The head is turned to the left and looks down with a slight smile. The back is not fully sculpted in the area of the legs.. Forearms and hands missing, paint partly rubbed and chipped, dry cracks, inactive anobia infestation.
