Art Nouveau alabaster bust of a woman
Alabaster. Late 19th / early 20th century. Marked. H 54 cm. 17 kg.
The bust shows a young woman with her face turned to the left. Her hair is tied up and held back with a scarf.
Smaller chips to the base and to the hair at the back of the head, a slightly larger chip to the front of the scarf.
If Georges Morin, then: German painter, sculptor and medallist who created architectural sculptures as well as independent paintings, medals, statues and figures. He traveled to Paris, Italy and England to study.
