Bust of a woman
Patinated bronze. Inscribed/dated "A Injalbert 1882" with foundry mark "Goldscheider" and mark "19". H 41 cm. 12 kg.
Young woman with slightly turned head and braided bun hairstyle. Patina shows small scratches on nose, shoulder and hair.
If Jean-Antoine Injalbert, then: French sculptor, pupil of the sculptor Augustin-Alexandre Dumont. He won the Grand Prix at the Paris World Exhibition in 1889.
