Standing female nude with a yellow scarf wrapped around her head and shoulders, on a round base with the inscription "La Frileuse de Houdon" (The Freezing Woman). Also known as the "Allegory of Winter" after the original by the French sculptor Jean-Antoine Houdon (1741 Versailles - 1828 Paris).
Cf. a marble sculpture in the Musée Fabre, Montpellier, from 1783, which was originally intended as an "Allegory of Winter", and a bronze from 1787 in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York.
