Diana with fawn
Patinated bronze. Marked with the addition Prof. H 72.5 cm. 19.0 kg.
The standing goddess of the hunt lovingly carries a fawn in her arms while holding the bow in her other hand. Notches on the back, bow bent, otherwise minimal signs of age/use.
Sculptor in Berlin, pupil at the academy ibid. under Schaper, Wolff and Thumann, later professor ibid. Also active in Vienna and Rome.
