Terracotta group: Bacchanale.
Probably 19th century Inscribed. CLODION, (probably after) (Nancy 1738 - 1814 Paris)
Terracotta. H 49 cm. 9,5 kg.
A bacchanal with two dancing and celebrating girls, accompanied by a putto and plenty of grapes. Cup, nose and lips of a girl and base minimally chipped.
If Clodion, then: sculptor actually named Claude Michel in Paris, pupil of Pigalle.
