Art deco dancer "Dying Swan". Vienna manufactory Friedrich Goldscheider.
GS 19 with the addition "Made in Austria", ca. 1922-1941. Signed "Dakon" on the verso of the dress. Model no. 6361 22 15. Design: Stephan DAKON (1904-1997), ca. 1931.
Faience, subtly colored. H 18 cm, l 28 cm.
Dancer (noted in the catalog raisonné as "Anna Pawlowa?") as a "Dying Swan" with feather ornaments and feather plaster in her hair, on an oval base. Restored on the back and right arm, partial edge wear, retouched glazing chips to the hem of the skirt.
