Portrait: Mary Stuck, the artist's daughter
Pastel. Signed.
54.5 x 48 cm. Framed & behind glass : 64 x 77 cm.
The pastel was on loan from Kurt Adelsberger for 5 years from 2018 until 09.02.2023 in a permanent presentation on the "Belle Epoque" at the Reiss-Engelhorn-Museen in Mannheim. A confirmation from Andreas Krock, Scientific Head of the Collection and exhibition curator, is available. We would like to thank Margot Th. Brandlhuber, head of the collection at the Museum Villa Stuck in Munich, who inspected the pastel in the original, for her help. The head and neck as well as the signature are by the artist, the background was added by a third party. Franz von Stuck created numerous portraits of his beloved daughter Mary.
