* Philipp, genre painter, studied at the academy in Breslau, pupil of Oskar Moll and Otto Mueller, 1927 at the Bauhaus, 1928-1934 at the Vereinigte Staatsschule für freie und angewandte Kunst in Berlin. During the Third Reich, his paintings were removed as "degenerate art", during this time he worked as a decorative painter and has lived in Darmstadt since 1954. He created a pictorial world full of cheerfulness, the Kunst Archiv Darmstadt showed his works in an exhibition in 2009.
