Art deco lamp with unusual lampshade.
Circa 1900/20.
Brass, lead dome, mother-of-pearl, synthetic resin. Electrification with screw thread and old cable switch. H 52 cm, Ø shade approx. 35 cm. 3.7 kg.
Tripod lamp in the Art Deco style with four curved arms that converge to form a horizontal ring and hold the shade. The shade is designed as a lead dome with mother-of-pearl and an amber-colored ring, in the style of the Berlin glass chunk lamp, but not made of glass, but presumably of synthetic resin. The dome is loosely attached. Mother-of-pearl partly cracked, brittle and with flaws, shade partly with clear traces of corrosion. Function not tested.
