Portrait cup: Queen Luise. KPM Berlin.
Sceptre mark and blue painter's mark, 1810-1813.
Cup (h 11 cm), original saucer (Ø 13.5 cm).
Foot-mounted bell-shaped cup with swan handle. Gray partial ground under floral gold border. On the front a medallion with the bisque portrait of Queen Louise of Prussia (1776-1810), around the medallion the inscription "Sie lebe auf immer in den Herzen treuer Patrioten!". In the mirror of the saucer the dates of the queen's life "March 10, 1776 / July 19, 1810". Cup foot restored, barely visible hairline crack at the top of the handle, restoration to the saucer rim.
