Polychrome painted, decorated in gold. H 53.5 cm.
So-called "Französische Vase". Ovoid body with two rosette and leaf handles, cylindrical neck with crater rim, round foot on square plinth. Blue ground, on the front a medallion with the portrait of the Prussian King Frederick William III (1770-1840), after a painting by Franz Krüuuml;ger (1797-1857), on the reverse the Prussian eagle in a golden oak leaf wreath. Gold retouched chip to the plinth, minimal gold chipping to the base of the copus.
