"Romilly à Paris" engraved brass full plate movement with florally pierced balance bridge, verge escapement, chain and fusee, keywind. Runs on. White enamel dial with Roman and Arabic numerals, minute track and Louis XV hands.
Not hallmarked, 585 gold tested. Ø 4.4 cm. 63,9 g.
Finely chased and engraved relief case with a stylized Watteau scene and bow festoons in yellow and red gold. Slight signs of age and wear, rubbing, dial with defects.
Without key. Jean Romilly (1714-1796), Parisian clockmaker, master clockmaker from 1752, appointed clockmaker to the king around 1777.
