Shepherd with three sheep
Patinated bronze, black stone base. inscribed "Schmidt-Felling". 43.5 x 23 x 23 cm. 17.25 kg.
On a polygonal base of black stone, a group of figures with a shepherd dressed in a long coat, holding his hat thoughtfully in front of his chest, surrounded by three sheep, two standing and grazing, one lying down. Patina rubbed, partly with patina (verdigris).
If it should be Julius Paul Schmidt-Felling, then: German sculptor (1835 Berlin - 1920 in Germany), was known above all for his bronze Art Nouveau figures, which served a variety of themes, including athletes, mythological warriors, nudes, workers and playing children.
