Baroque top chest of drawers.
Walnut and other woods, veneered and inlaid, stained in various colors. Approx. 216 x 113 x 63 cm.
Corpus composed of two parts. Two-door top unit with a split pediment, on a three-bay chest of drawers with a curved front and a shaped sloping desk, on four pressed ball feet. Interior top with three storage compartments and a small single compartment with a single-door middle compartment and 6 small drawers, four small drawers in the middle compartment. Writing compartment with a hinged writing tablet, inside an open central compartment with clipboard, flanked by three small drawers with wooden knobs. Curved brass fittings with bow handles, iron locks. Restored, with additions, slight signs of age and use, small defects in places, inactive anobia, doors and locks of the top and lectern slightly warped and not closing.
