Mid 20th century Afghanistan.
Wool, finely hand-knotted. Red monochrome decoration. Approx. 178 x 134 cm.
Latticework decoration with 3 x 10 rows of large tekke güls and accompanying kurbaghe güls. Wide, multi-row border with radiating octagons and a variety of Turkmen patterns. Narrow sides with diamond decoration and short fringes. Signs of age and wear, defects to the edges, some tears, partial abrasion to the pile, cleaning recommended.
