Pompous Empire skeleton clock with eagle crown and glass dome.
1st half of the 19th century
Unmarked movement with half-hour strike on bell. Functional in short time test. white enamel chapter ring marked "Courtener à Strasbourg" with Roman hours and Arabic minutes, minute ring and Breguet hands, radiating structure in the center.
Bronze, matt and bright gold-plated, black stone, glass, mahogany veneer. Clock H 39 cm, glass dome 48.5 x 35 x 18.5 cm.
Classicist-style chased skeleton clock in double-arched portal form, with a crowning eagle, foliage and ribbon decoration, on a rectangular base. Comes with an oval wooden base with ball feet and glass lintel. Slight signs of age and wear on the base, traces of soldering, chipped edges of the glass lintel, cleaned, with recent additions.
With key and brass pendulum with bird motif and thread suspension.
