Sitting African woman
Terracotta, reddish-pink. inscribed "L. Fourquet 1914". H 32.5 cm. 5.30 kg.
A young woman in a long robe sitting on a terrain base with oriental arched windows in a kind of rock face. Signs of age and wear, minor chips, a horizontal hairline crack on the left arm, continuous 'seam' along the right leg over the arm and head and down the left arm again (possibly remains of a two-part form).
