Large bronze of a farmer
Patinated bronze. inscribed "PP 94", foundry mark "V. Mašek. Karlin 1895". H 70.5 cm. 24.65 kg.
A standing man in historicizing garb with a plough on a square plinth. Possibly a depiction of the legendary figure Přemysl, the mythical progenitor of the Bohemian ruling dynasty of the Přemyslids. Thematically matching cat. no. 2022 'Ruler with sceptre'. Signs of age and wear, rubbed patina, slight patina formation (verdigris), small hole on the plow.
